7 PhD scholarships · Apply by 22 October 2026
Two separate Cycle XLII second-session procedures are now open for scholarships funded by Regione Marche: 6 scholarships across five UNICAM PhD Programmes and 1 scholarship in the National PhD Programme in Theoretical and Applied Neuroscience. Applications and the €20 fee per application must be completed by 1:00 p.m. Italian time on 22 October 2026.
Special eligibility requirements: admission degree already awarded; inactive, not in employment or unemployed; resident in the Marche Region or domiciled there for at least six months; under 36 years of age. All requirements must be met when applying. These second-session procedures offer no unfunded positions.

Final merit rankings have also been published for both first-session Cycle XLII procedures: the general UNICAM Call and the National PhD Programme in Theoretical and Applied Neuroscience.

UNICAM Cycle XLII – Second session: 6 Regione Marche scholarships
Six funded positions are available across five PhD Programmes. Each scholarship is tied to a Research Topic described in Annex 1. This second session is a separate selection with specific regional eligibility requirements and does not offer positions without a scholarship.

The titles above are abbreviated for navigation. Refer to Annex 1 for the complete official titles, project descriptions, supervisors and additional obligations.
Eligibility at application: required degree already awarded; inactive, not in employment or unemployed; resident in the Marche Region or domiciled there for at least six months; under 36. No simultaneous enrolment in another university programme is permitted during this funded PhD.
Key dates: application and €20 fee by 22 October, 1:00 p.m.; optional reference letters by 23 October, 1:00 p.m.; remote interviews on 26 and/or 27 October; rankings expected around 28 October (provisional); acceptance by 31 October; mandatory start on 1 November 2026. Applicants with foreign degrees should check the documentation required by 31 October under Article 9.

UNICAM PhD Programmes – Cycle XLII · First session
This separate first-session application deadline expired on 24 July 2026. Candidates admitted to the second stage were published by application ID and the oral interviews were held according to the official calendar between 24 August and 11 September 2026.

Candidates should carefully read the published rankings, accompanying documents and any subsequent notices. Those entitled to proceed with acceptance and enrolment must follow the applicable instructions and deadlines communicated through the official UNICAM channels.

Theoretical and Applied Neuroscience – Cycle XLII
A separate second-session Call is now open for 1 Regione Marche-funded scholarship in the National PhD Programme in Theoretical and Applied Neuroscience. Applications must be submitted through the dedicated TAN PICA procedure by 22 October 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Italian time. Specific regional eligibility requirements apply.
FIRST SESSION · FINAL RESULTS PUBLISHED
The first-session TAN application deadline expired on 24 August 2026 and the interviews were held online on 8 and 9 September 2026. The final merit rankings have now been published on the official first-session TAN Call page. Candidates should consult the ranking lists and follow the applicable acceptance and enrolment instructions.

First-session procedures: applications are closed and final merit rankings have been published for both the general UNICAM Call and the National PhD Programme in Theoretical and Applied Neuroscience. Candidates should follow the acceptance and enrolment instructions applicable to the procedure under which they were selected.
