ARCHITECTURE, THEORIES AND DESIGN

ARCHITECTURE, DESIGN, PLANNING
The curriculum focuses on theoretical and practical issues related to the scale of the building, considering the new realities imposed by the cultural, technological, and environmental evolution of contemporary times. The topic of architecture is primarily approached from a critical perspective, considering it from a conceptual rather than immediately operational standpoint. Nevertheless, the curriculum favors the development of research that rigorously compares theoretical assumptions with the reality of concrete case studies.
The research conducted focuses on both new buildings, discussing their critical coherence, historical foundation, and formal quality, as well as the enhancement of existing heritage. The latter is linked to the compatibility (cultural and material) between reuse and historical characteristics.
Within the curriculum, there are competencies in historical research, architectural composition, and representation. Thanks to the international connections of its members, the curriculum can conduct research on foreign topics as well.
