PHYSICS, EARTH AND MATERIALS SCIENCES

The Physics curriculum of the PhD program focuses on frontier research in fields such as quantum phenomena in solids and ultracold matter, quantum optics, communication and computing, physics of matter for the energy sector, extreme conditions, theory and applications of complex systems, nuclear physics, cosmology, and gravitational waves.

The investigation methods include experiments in research laboratories located at the University of Camerino and in international facilities such as large-scale facilities, high-performance computing, and theory.

PhD students work in a highly interdisciplinary and international research environment. Collaborative networks are available at a global level for the doctoral program, allowing students to expand their experience and professional contacts with high-quality institutions.

Joint doctoral programs established with European universities further enrich opportunities for students to achieve their goals, building solid foundations for future research careers.
