Carlotta Latini is Full Professor of History of Medieval and Modern Law at School of Law in University of Camerino.
She obtained a Ph.D. in History of Italian Law with particular reference to the History of Modern Law, at the University of Siena, in 2000, with a Thesis entitled “De iure asylorum”.
For the three year period 2000-2003, she was a research fellow at the Institute of Historical Studies of the University of Macerata, with a research project on the “relationship between lex and ius in the late modern age”. She was then a researcher at the University of Macerata, site of Jesi until 2006-2007, where she taught History of Social Legislation. In March 2007 she became Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Camerino, and took up service in October of the same year. In 2014 she obtained her qualification as a full professor. On 1 May 2016 she became Full Professor at the University of Camerino, School of Law. She is also a lawyer.
She has been a member of the University Evaluation Unit until 2013, is a delegate of the School of Law for Internationalization and Erasmus, a member of the School Council and was University delegate for the valorization of students and Alumni. She also was until November 2017 President of the University Guarantee Committee, and Vice-President of the School of Advanced Studies "Carlo Urbani" of Camerino. Since November 2017 she is Senator Unicam. Since April 2016 she is responsible of the Juridical Doctorate of the University of Camerino ISAS (International School of Advanced Studies) with the title: Legal and Social Sciences and responsible of the curriculum in Fundamental Rights in the Global Society. She is a member, as an external collaborator, of the PhD College in Ciencias Juridicas de l'Universidad de Huelva from 22 March 2017. She is a member of the Scientific Committee of the History Review of Italian Law. She is member of the Evaluation National Committee (ASN, SH2, IUS/19). Since August 2018, she is member of Committee of the Especialización en Estudios Contemporáneos de América y Europa, in cooperation between Unicam Law School and UBA.
She currently teaches History of Medieval and Modern Law, European Legal History, Social Psychology and History of Human Rights at the University of Camerino. She also teaches Foundations of European Law at the School for the Legal Professions of Macerata and Camerino. She participated in the FAR, coordinated and directed by Prof. Guido Favia, Symbiosis in protozoa and insect vectors: from basic research in environmental control to the management of vector borne diseases and in the Far coordinated and directed by Prof. Maria Pia Paternò, Citizenship , Social Rights and Working Practices, Migrations, Fundamental Rights, Democracy and Caring, Inclusive Society.

She dealt with the legal and institutional reforms implemented in Europe during the First World War. She had Fellowships at the Max-Planck-Institut für Europäische Rechtsgeschichte (2001, 2003, 2008, for a period of 4 months), and has carried out research at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France.
She has carried out teaching and research activities at the University of Sofia, during an (IP) Erasmus, entitled "Public Policy implementation in specific economics, politic and cultural environment", Department of Public Administration, "St. Kliment Ohridski ", Faculty of Law and administrative science, Course title: Liberal Social Legislation in a Comparative Perspective (Italy, XIX-XX Centuries). The Birth of "Industrial Judges" to resolve Conflicts between Owners and Workers: the Institute of Arbitrators and the Collective Bargaining.
She has also carried out several didactic and research activities at the Carlos III University of Madrid, Faculty of Legal and Social Sciences and at the Doctoral School of the University of Santa Fe, Argentina.
She is the author of various monographs including, "Citizens and Enemies: Military Justice and Criminal Justice in Italy between the Nineteenth and Twentieth Century", Florence, Le Monnier, 2010; "Governing the Emergency: legislative Delegation and full Powers in Italy between the Nineteenth and Twentieth centuries", Milan, Giuffrè, 2005. "The Privilege of Immunity: Right to Asylum and Jurisdiction in the juridical order of the Modern Age", Milan, Giuffrè, 2002 (Review in band A) and has recently published a monograph entitled "History of a 'heretical' Jurist. Penal and criminal Law in the Thought of Enrico Ferri", Naples, Es 2018. In 2017 she had partecipated as PI to PRIN Programme. 
Her main interests concern the themes of the History of modern legal Thought, the History of the Constitutions, the History of criminal Law, the History of Rights.
