Applications are closed for both the general UNICAM Cycle XLII admission procedure and the National PhD Programme in Theoretical and Applied Neuroscience. The two procedures are now at different stages: interviews are underway for the general UNICAM Call, while the TAN selection procedure is in progress following the closure of applications.

Where provided by the Call, publication constitutes official notification and candidates should not rely solely on individual email communications.

UNICAM PhD Programmes – Cycle XLII
The application deadline expired on 24 July 2026. The first-stage evaluation has been completed and candidates admitted to the second stage have been published by application ID.
Current update
The oral interview phase began on 25 August 2026. The remaining online interviews are being held according to the official published calendar, with scheduled sessions continuing through 11 September 2026.
Candidates admitted to interview should check the official shortlist carefully for their application ID, date, time and online meeting details. The published shortlist constitutes official notification.

Theoretical and Applied Neuroscience – Cycle XLII
Applications for the National PhD Programme in Theoretical and Applied Neuroscience closed on 24 August 2026 at 1:00 PM CEST. The selection procedure is now in progress.
CURRENT STATUS
No shortlist or interview calendar is currently published on the official Call page. Candidates should monitor the TAN admission page and the official UNICAM Call page for the next selection notices.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
The next major update will be the publication of selection results
For the general UNICAM Cycle XLII Call, final merit rankings are expected by September 2026. Successful candidates will then have to follow the acceptance and enrolment instructions published with the official results.
For TAN, the next updates will concern admission to the selection stage, interview arrangements and subsequent results according to the timetable established by the specific Call.

Part 1 · From earthquake to damage
UNICAM is offering a free Summer School open also to PhD candidates. The programme addresses instrumental diagnosis and digital methods applied to the assessment of earthquake damage and is particularly relevant to research and training in engineering, architecture, computer science, materials science, physics and geosciences.
