Italian Public Administration
As a general rule, use a self-certification when declaring your enrolment, doctoral career or qualification to an Italian Public Administration body or a private provider of public services.
OPTION 02
Private or foreign organisation
An official UNICAM certificate may be required when the document must be presented to a private organisation, a foreign institution, an embassy or a consulate.
IMPORTANT EXCEPTION
Residence permit
A certificate of enrolment may be required by the Italian Police Headquarters for the issue or renewal of a residence permit.

Generate the document through your UNICAM profile
Available directly from the Student Administration portal
Current PhD candidates and PhD graduates can normally download pre-completed self-certifications concerning their enrolment, doctoral career, completed doctoral degree, recorded activities and payments.
Applying for an Italian Public Administration call or competition?
PhD graduates should normally use the “Doctoral degree and examinations” self-certification available from the Student Administration portal. You do not need to wait for the original degree parchment in order to demonstrate that you have obtained the PhD qualification.

Log in with your personal UNICAM credentials.
2
Open the Administration Office / Certificates area.

Select and download the self-certification corresponding to your needs.
4
Sign the declaration and attach a valid identity document when required.

Certificates for foreign institutions
Certificates intended for use abroad are normally issued in English. Indicate clearly whether an autograph signature, electronic signature or other specific formality is required.
