Transversal Skills  –Definition-

Transversal skills (Fig1) are those that each person uses at work, they are not specifically related to a given activity or employment status and affect the ability of individuals to express skillful or expert professional behaviours. They are built through the control of disciplinary and multidisciplinary knowledge, cognitive skills and attitude of each person. To foster transversal skills educational intervention should not be structured to simple transmission of the contents but must  be designed to stimulate the abilities of each one in order to transform them into skills.
